About Us

Founded in 1989, The Corbin Band Boosters (CBB) is an organization that supports the Corbin High School Band in Corbin, Kentucky. The organization is made up of parents, alumni, and community members who are dedicated to promoting music education and supporting the band program.

CBB provides a variety of support and resources to the band program, including fundraising, chaperoning, and providing equipment and uniforms. They also organize events and activities throughout the year, such as band competitions, concerts, and trips.

In addition to supporting the band program, the CBB also works to promote music education in the community. They advocate for the importance of music education in schools, and encourage students to participate in band and other music programs.

Membership in CBB is open to all parents or guardians of students participating in any CHS band programs. Associate membership is open to anyone interested in the band. Associate members do not have voting rights but are welcome to participate in CBB functions and meetings.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the CHS band room, unless otherwise stated. When possible, meetings are made available for virtual attendance by those unable to attend in person. Participating in band booster meetings is an essential way to get involved with your child's band program and help ensure its success. These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss upcoming events, fundraisers, and ways to support the program. It's a chance to meet other parents, band directors, and students and to learn about the band's goals and aspirations. Your input and involvement can make a significant impact on the band's success and the experiences of its students.

CBB is designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the IRS and your contributions are tax deductible.
